Seen from the Powys side of the Afon Tywi, this shows the hostel, now operated by the Elenydd Wilderness Hostels Trust Link

with its new roof. This remote hostel has no electricity supply; it is heated by an open wood/coal fire and is lit by gas. It was "dumped" by the YHA in 2008, and has since greatly increased its guest turnover. It will be closed from mid-October for another major programme of building development, re-opening before Easter 2010. Check the given website for full details.
