This is Blackpool No 40 dating from the 1920s. There was some amusement at Cleveleys earlier this year when a car very much like this, turned up as the normal service tram to Blackpool! It performed very well and was kept on the service all day. The traditional British tram was a robust and durable vehicle, whereas its modern equivalent, as running at, say, Nottingham, is a highly sophisticated piece of machinery.
