The Thieves Moss area
The Thieves Moss area
Thieves Moss is at the extreme left of the photo and is a small area of wet ground where a layer of glacial till overlies the limestone. Limestone pavement dominates the scene, with the northernmost corner of Crummack Dale appearing in the bottom right of the photo. The familiar profile of Pen-y-Ghent in the distance.
