Probable Old Borehole, Raithby
Probable Old Borehole, Raithby
This structure stands in the middle of a field near Raithby church. The hidden side is identical. As there is no record of any mining in this vicinity I suspect it is probably related to water supply. There is a roadside pump about 100m away TF3184 : Old Pump, it also has some similarity to the brick borehole enclosure at nearby Hubbards Hill TF3186 : Bore holes at Hubbards Hills.
