This Roe-bodied AEC Regent was No 139 in the Leeds fleet. When it entered service in September 1934, it had a petrol engine, but within a year this had been substituted by a diesel unit. These buses were robust machines, most being used right through World War II, this example not being withdrawn until 1954 when it passed into preservation. It is seen here in its original Leeds livery of pale blue and cream.
