North Dale, North Yorkshire Moors
North Dale, North Yorkshire Moors
The valley was created by the sudden overflow of Lake Goathland at the end of the last Ice Age, when the meltwater from the North Sea Ice sheet broke through the moors creating this immense overflow channel, towards the Vale of Pickering in the south.
