taken 8 years ago, near to Elsecar, Barnsley, Great Britain

Elsecar basin
Elsecar basin
The head of the Elsecar branch of the Dearne and Dove Canal. This has been returned to water, but it is unlikely that any boats will ever be able to reach it. The building seen as a skeleton in Martin's picture SE3800 : Building site by Elsecar Canal has now been cpmpleted.
