Plumpton School Room
Plumpton School Room
Built in 1837 to provide education for the villagers of Plumpton. The total space of the school room was 22 x 16 feet where two teachers would teach the classes. The school closed in the mid 1870s when a larger board school was built in Plumpton Green. The building is currently empty and occupies a spot near the bend in Plumpton Lane where it begins to rise towards the junction with the B2116.
