Harehope Plantation above Bendor
Harehope Plantation above Bendor
The red buildings in the foreground, just left of the trees, are in the hamlet of Bendor, just off the main road north-west of Wooler (just visible on the far right) NT9629 : Workshop building at Bendor. Beyond the trees, lies the flat Millfield Plain, thought in prehistoric times to have been the location of a great lake. The River Glen meets the meandering River Till in this area. The latter then flows north to join the Tweed. Beyond the plain, the panorama shows the hills above Fenton and Doddington.
