SE1321 : Back Brade, Rastrick

taken 12 years ago, near to Rastrick, Calderdale, Great Britain

Back Brade, Rastrick
Back Brade, Rastrick
Originally Back Bread, from the name of the field on each side. The access track was only a field path in 1824, and the building on the left probably existed then. All three buildings are shown on the 1850 map. By the late 19C and until the mid-20C the name was Back Braid, and now the OS show it as Back Brade.
