The Ling Hut, Torridon
The Ling Hut, Torridon
Run by the Scottish Mountaineering Club, this hut commemorates William Ling (1873-1953), one of their early members. Ling pioneered many rock climbs in the Highlands and climbed in Norway, the Alps and the Caucasus with Harold Raeburn. The hut is supplied with running water and gas for cooking and powering the lights. Liathach is the mountain in the background.
