Eastern Arete and Mallory's Ridge
Eastern Arete and Mallory's Ridge
Two early rock climbs: Eastern Arete, climbed in 1905, follows the rock crest from the lower left, before disappearing behind Mallory's Ridge, climbed in 1911, which follows the clean buttress of rock to the summit of Garn. "Mallory" is the famous George Mallory who later disappeared on Everest.
