SU2079 : Parascending on the slopes of Liddington Castle Hill Fort

taken 13 years ago, near to Badbury, Swindon, Great Britain

Parascending on the slopes of Liddington Castle Hill Fort.
Parascending on the slopes of Liddington Castle Hill Fort.
At the top of the hill is Liddington Castle iron age hill fort, which is believed to be one of the sites where the battle of Badon took place, which involved a British ruler (possibly even King Arthur) defeat and hold off the Saxon invaders. The farmer allows parascenders to use this field.
