NT6607 : A little used road, Wauchope Forest

taken 8 years ago, near to Lethem, Scottish Borders, Great Britain

A little used road, Wauchope Forest
A little used road, Wauchope Forest
The road is not currently used for forestry operations, and is grassed over. Probably more often used to access roe deer stalking.
The path shown by the Ordnance Survey gets about as far as the Swin Burn, where a bridge in an embankment is missing, after that you are on your own. The path is shown as a road on older maps and predates the forest. Most forest traffic is on the road to the east, seemingly permanently guarded by the dreaded cry wolf "rude man" forestry keep out signs.
