Viaduct, Ferryden
View through the North British Railway's viaduct at the south of Rossie Island to a muddy beach on Montrose Basin. Originally Montrose Basin had two exits with Rossie Island between them, and there are viaducts over both channels. The southernmost channel was reclaimed as industrial land and is now part of Montrose Docks.
Since the days of the North British, the railway was expanded to two tracks except for the Montrose viaducts which must be a bit of a bottleneck for traffic to and from Aberdeen.
