Limestone outcrop by Loch Mhaolach-coire
Limestone outcrop by Loch Mhaolach-coire
This little outcrop is above the outlet burn from the loch. The mountain avens are benefitting from the presence of the limestone. These plants are nationally quite rare in their distribution but when they are in favourable conditions, as on this limestone, they can be found scattered over quite a wide area. Conival is the skyline hill.
