Windthrown trees in Thorndon Park, Essex
Windthrown trees in Thorndon Park, Essex
These trees are the victims of the great storm of late 1987. The Essex Wildlife Trust Essex (who manage the centre) County Council (who manage the park) have a policy of leaving the storm damage untouched as much as possible (consistent with safety). This means these trees have been like this for over two years.
