Allesley Hall from Allesley Hall Drive

The present Allesley Hall was built around 1910 and replaced a former mansion dating from around 1700. It and the surrounding land was gifted to Coventry in the 1960s. The hall was used as a convalescent home then headquarters of the Parks Department and latterly a private nursing home. Part of the original park was built on for housing and the rest made into a public park.
