Beach groynes, Withernsea
Beach groynes, Withernsea
Withernsea has plenty of protection to prevent erosion by the sea. First defence is the series of groynes to trap sand and prevent the beach being washed further south. Whilst this helps Withernsea, it only increases erosion to the south as there is little or no beach material left to protect the low clay cliffs.
