Hopper Huts
Hopper huts were primitive buildings which hop picking families would stay in during the hop picking season in September, during the 18th century and early 20th century. Usually built of corrugated metal around a basic timber frame, more wealthy farmers built them out of brick, and may even have included a small fireplace and chimney.
