SS9448 : Burgundy Chapel

taken 13 years ago, 3 km from Selworthy, Somerset, Great Britain

Burgundy Chapel.
Burgundy Chapel.
The original purpose of this little building is unclear. It incorporated some living accommodation as well as the chapel. It may have been a hermitage and is certainly quite difficult to get to. The footpath from Minehead is reasonably level but access down Burgundy Chapel Combe is very steep.
