Bridge date stone
This stone is visible as the creamy oblong in centre of TL0434 : Bridge over the Flit. So the bridge dates from 1895, towards the end of the Victorian era and was built by Beds CC (Bedforshire County Council). The bridge crosses the River Flit or one of the little streams and brooks that flow into it.
