The photograph was taken from the summit of Carleatheran looking over the bleak moorland to Earlsburn Reservoir No1 with Earlsburn Reservoir No2 beyond and a recently established wind farm to the right. No 1 reservoir is situated at an altitude of 365 metres. When this photo was taken Tinto Hill 40 miles distant was visible in transit over the reservoir.
