Tidal channel
Tidal channel
The outflow from Loch Fhada is a very deep channel through the peat bog between hummocky granite outcrops. Salt water pushes up the channel during unusually high tides, but is slowly flushed out by fresh water during lower tidal periods. A most interesting environment.
