A tug-style narrowboat emerges from the south end of the 2493 metre long Wast Hill Tunnel on the Worcester and Birmingham Canal. The tunnel opened in 1797 and is one of the longest in the country. The other end is at SP0477 : Wasthill Tunnel Northern portal with several intermediate construction/ventilation shafts such as SP0476 : Wast Hill Tunnel ventilation shaft.
