SK0272 : Top of the hill

taken 8 years ago, near to Burbage, Derbyshire, Great Britain

Top of the hill
Top of the hill
This is the summit of the immediate climb out of Buxton on the old road to Macclesfield. It then drops down quite some way to Derbyshire Bridge before climbing again. The modern road reaches a slightly higher elevation on the side of Axe Edge, but has much more favourable gradients.
