Headwaters of the Wye
Headwaters of the Wye
It's difficult to realise that there was once a coal mine here. The flat terrace is the area where coal would have been transferred from the mine tubs into normal railway wagons on a siding off the old Cromford and High Peak Railway. The tubs came from the mine across a bridge where the pipe can be seen crossing the stream.
