Subsidence appears to have affected the signalbox at Shippea Hill - note the angle of the original brick-built signalbox compared to its rear timber extension and the (near-vertical) concrete level crossing gatepost.

The signal box stands at the east end of Shippea Hill station, an isolated fenland location which is approximately five miles east of Ely North Junction on the route from Ely to Norwich.
