This is the site of the former goods yard on the south side of Shippea Hill station. It is now used as a lorry park and container store. The lamp-posts on the station platform can be seen behind the containers on the right of the photo.

Agricultural goods traffic was the mainstay of the station before road haulage took over the traffic: the station attracted few passengers even in its heyday. The station is still served by passenger trains (though few stop there) and is approximately five miles east of Ely North Junction on the route from Ely to Norwich.
