NS1586 : West side of Meall Dubh

taken 9 years ago, near to Benmore, Argyll And Bute, Great Britain

West side of Meall Dubh
West side of Meall Dubh
Looking across the Inverchapel Burn towards Meall Dubh. The slopes towards Strath Eck are very complicated and tricky to descend, beware especially of the rhododendrons to the south which block off some obvious ways down. The hillside is a mix of heather, bracken and birch wood and is very rough. The foreground slopes are steep but very easy being well drained and grazed by sheep.
