The Sands
The Sands
The name of the field according to the 1842 tithe map, its name deriving from the greensand soil that runs in a small strip between the foot of the South Downs and the clays of the Low Weald. Long Sand Shaw is on the right at the end of the field. Mount Harry is just visible in the distance.
