TR3140 : M757 Verseau

taken 36 years ago, near to Dover, Kent, Great Britain

M757 Verseau
M757 Verseau
A French Navy minesweeper tied up in Wellington Dock. The vessel entered service in 1956 and was scrapped in 1991. On the left are the shops and housing along Snargate Street. A wharf area is visible in the centre of the photo, whilst Dover Castle can be seen on the right.

This photo predates the extension of the A20 as a dual carriageway along the dockside to the Eastern Docks and the conversion of this area to a marina.
