Dredging off Stranraer
Dredging off Stranraer
A dredger was almost always to be seen here, highlighting the difficulties of keeping this port clear for larger shipping. However, much of the shipping has since transferred to Cairnryan. Even though this lacks a rail connection, most passenger traffic now is for the car ferry, while freight is in lorries.
