Railway line, Easter Road
Railway line, Easter Road
Looking south-east from the former Easter Road Station to Easter Road Junction which is no longer obvious as one of the tracks has been lifted. The line from Waverley via Abbeyhill ran past the former Redpath Brown engineering works and Albion Road Barracks, where modern flats now stand, into the N.B.R. Goods Yard between Brunswick Road and Leith Walk, and then on to Granton Harbour. The track now visible begins at the Powderhall Refuse Depot and joins the East Coast Main Line at Piershill Junction.
