Disused cottages at Erringden Grange, Kilnshaw Lane, Erringden
In this case I don't think 'Grange' indicates former monastic ownership, as Erringden was a deer park owned by the Warren family as part of the manor of Wakefield. The park was sold, in small lots, by the Duke of York to farmers in 1449. Erringden Grange seems to have been one of the larger farms, and there is a substantial 19C house out of the picture to the left.
