The Buckley Stone, Erringden
The Buckley Stone, Erringden
The 1854 six-inch map gives the impression that the name applies to the rocky outcrop on the left, but 'stone' seems to me suggestive of the block of stone at the corner of the fence, which has evidently been used to define part of the boundary of an intake from the moor above Great Jumps.
