The Loudoun Memorial
The Loudoun Memorial
Looking south from Bath Street to the very tall monument, built in 1879 by the famous local family. Edith Maud Hastings, the 10th Countess of Loudoun, died in 1874, at only 41 years old, having had six children. She was perhaps best known for the restoration of Rowallan Castle (NS4342 : Rowallan (Old) Castle).
