SE1772 : The road to Ramsgill
near to Greygarth, North Yorkshire, Great Britain

The road to Ramsgill
A 'satnav special' as it is one of those county roads which degenerates into a rough track, in this case jut to the west of Stope Bridge a mile further west. This is a very old route once linking Nidderdale and the medieval market at Kirkby Malzeard. Cattle and sheep owned by Fountains and Byland Abbeys would have been driven across here some 600 years ago.
