The Royal Forest, Chingford
The Royal Forest, Chingford
Despite appearances this building is Victorian, styled in a mock Tudor fashion no doubt to match the genuinely venerable Queen Elizabeth's Hunting Lodge next door. It was intended as a hostelry for visitors to Epping Forest which was first opened to the public in 1882. Today it is part of the Brewers Fayre chain.
