Former canal warehouses, Copperfield Road
Former canal warehouses, Copperfield Road
These warehouses alongside the Regent's Canal and fronting Copperfield Road to the east, were built in 1872 to the traditional pattern of three bays with double doors or loopholes on the upper floors through which goods were hoisted by crane from the top storey. When the warehouses were rented by Dr Barnardo in 1877 alterations were made to render the buildings suitable for a school.
