SP3176 : Footbridge at Canley Ford

near to Earlsdon, Coventry, Great Britain

Footbridge at Canley Ford
Footbridge at Canley Ford
The Canley brook splits into two channels (a straight channel was cut in the 1960s to alleviate flooding) and flows onto and along Watery Lane for a short distance. It then continues southwards via one of two exit points from the ford. This is the second exit. The channels rejoin a few yards beyond the bridge. Sandstone rock is exposed on the bed of the stream to the left.
