National Cycleway 12 by The Straight Mile
The Straight Mile is the remains of a canal built in the 1820s - 30s to join Penshurst to the navigable part of the River Medway. It was never completed or ever used.
Cycleway 12 runs from Tonbridge to Penshurst
Eden Valley Walk
A 15 mile walk in the valley of the River Eden, Kent. Opened in 1991. It starts at Haxted Mill, where it leaves The Vanguard Way, and ends in Tonbridge, where it links with the Medway Valley Walk. It passes Hever Castle and Tonbridge Castle.
