SU2700 : Hincheslea Wood, hollows

taken 8 years ago, near to Sway, Hampshire, Great Britain

Hincheslea Wood, hollows
Hincheslea Wood, hollows
Irregular hollows to the North of the wood; they do not appear natural, so are perhaps the result of marl or pebble extraction, or had a military use. Can someone offer any explanation?
