Coastal defences, Seaham north promenade
There are already plans to improve the defences here due to increased pressure caused by sea level rise and the wave activity associated with global warming. This may be in the form of rock revetments along the toe of the existing wall to help break-up wave activity, or short rock groynes across the foreshore to help maintain beach sand.
