A bit of plot maintenance is called for before the start of ploughing at the National Championship held at Soham. Every day farm ploughs would bury most but not all the trash on the surface. A ploughing match is about burying all the surface trash and leaving a tidy straight piece of work. The tractor is a very early model Fordson. The blue haze is the petrol paraffin mix from the idling tractor.
