A close up of one of the horns of Flatholm's foghorn. The three small pipes in the foreground are the exhaust pipes of the three powerful diesel pump engines used to generate air pressure to sound the horn.

I wouldn't like to be standing here when it goes off (which no longer happens as it is now decommissioned - though theoretically in working condition)...
