There are no Ordnance Survey triangulation pillars on Flatholm but there are a number of these - and based on the numbers on these small stone pillars there used to be a whole lot more.
The small stone pillar (about a foot tall) has an individual number, the letters W D - and between the letters a bench mark, minus the usual top horizontal line that is normally seen on benchmarks and cut marks.
