The name of the field in the foreground according to the 1843 tithe map and once part of Dumbles Common that was enclosed in the early 17th century. Now part of a large field that has been formed from a number of small strips once known as Hovel Field, Five and a Half Acres, Farther Field, Five Acres, North Wood and Newmans Plot. Now fenced off into a series of paddocks. South Wallers Wood provides the southern boundary.
