The New Globe and the Green Bridge
The New Globe and the Green Bridge
Historic pub in Mile End Road built in 1821 and still surmounted by a globe. (There is an Old Globe further along the road which presumably pre-dates it.) It was originally the site of the New Globe Pleasure Gardens.
Beyond can be seen the RC church of the Guardian Angels and the Green Bridge pedestrian/cycle path across the busy Mile End thoroughfare.
