Seven Acres
Seven Acres
The name of the field according to the 1842 tithe map and once part of Homewood Common that was enclosed in the mid 16th century. Much of the old field boundaries were removed during the Second World War when the surrounding area became Chailey Advanced Landing Ground, an airfield set up in readiness with the invasion of Europe.
